What does the term Permaculture mean? It is a way of gardening that mimics the natural ecosystem. The term was coined in the 1970’s and the term is the combination of the words of permanent culture and agricultural systems.
This form of gardening is observing natural patterns and developing regenerative designers that minimize waste, all of this is conserve energy, create harmonious relationship between people and the environment.
The core is to imitate nature where certain plants naturally grow together, minimize waste. Permaculture has been thought of as the “No dig, gardening or no till farming. Using lady bugs for aphid control, or bees for pollination. The idea of planting specific plants that attract certain insects, Sun-loving plants offering shade to those plants loving shade. It all makes a permanent ecosystem that sustains itself.
