What is resiliency in simple terms, it is the ability to adapt and recover from stressors, while maintaining psychological well-being in the face of adversity.  In other words, the ability to bounce back from difficulties you have experienced.

Emotional resilience is the ability to deal with adversity in a constructive way, adapting and becoming stronger in the face of traumatic events.  Therefore, a resilient person is one who learns from the adverse situations they experience and is able to see the positive side of things. You become stronger from the experience.

How to become resilient a few things need to come into play, believe it or not, developing your creativity is important, as this is a fundamental skill that needs to be fostered to be a resilient person.  Creativity helps us to find new perspectives on how to face difficulties.

Another principal is to be optimistic; a resilient person has the ability to live in the present.  This means free from guilt that is from the past, and with no uncertainties regarding the future. Developing the ability to live in the present is a practice of mindfulness.  Enjoy and be grateful for the little things in life.

Ultimately the best thing is to emit joy and positive energy to others, and this will make you feel good too! Joy is contagious.
